What is Quality Assurance? Quality assurance is a policy-oriented management system that includes project planning, assignment of responsibilities, standard operating procedures, traceability, methodology, quality control, data review, reporting and archiving, and professional development.
Various institutions in West Africa are currently working towards accreditation and certification to International Standards Organization (ISO) standards such as ISO 17025 and ISO 9000 to demonstrate their institutional commitment to quality assurance. Currently, the CERES-Locustox Foundation in Dakar, Senegal is certified to ISO 9000. Improving the Quality of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
