The IPM CRSP West Africa Regional Consortium of IPM Excellence was funded at $800,000 by USAID Cooperative Agreement No. EPP-A-00-04-00016-00. The primary objective is to broaden the scope and expand previous activities in Mali, West Africa to a total of five countries in the region. The countries with research, extension, and governmental units who will receive project funding are Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea, Mali and Senegal. Make a Difference Additional resources are needed by our collaborators who are working as pesticide residue chemists and pesticide safety educators in West Africa. Virginia Tech allows gifts to be designated to any of the eight colleges, a department, a program, or any special initiative. You can designate a gift to West Africa Pesticide Programs by giving directly on-line or by contacting: Mr. Max Bales, Director of Development, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (0402), 115 Hutcheson Hall, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA 24061 USA, +1-540/231-1987, mbales@vt.edu. Matching Contributions Additionally, your gift can be even greater if your company matches contributions to higher education. Contact your human resource department or personnel office to inquire and obtain the necessary form. Send the form with your gift and Virginia Tech will contact the company to obtain the matching funds. Translation Assistance Needed Your contributions are greatly appreciated.
